The aim of NESDO is to study (predictors) of the course of depression in patients of 60 years and older, in order to contribute to improved quality of care and prevention of chronicity. Therefore data will be collected on a broad range of determinants that might influence the course of depression in elderly people, such as: social and clinical determinants, life events, physical health, neurobiological det er minants, cognitive functioning and the use of health care.
